Dounia Mahammed studeerde in 2015 af aan KASK drama. Haar werk getuigt van een bijzondere gevoeligheid voor taal, humor en beeldend denken. Als schrijfster en actrice heeft Mahammed een grote interesse voor sociale kwesties, filosofische bespiegelingen en de poëzie van het alledaagse. Haar werk wil iets vertellen over de mens en het mens-zijn, en schippert daarbij tussen verwondering en vertwijfeling.
In augustus 2016 won Dounia Mahammed met Salut Copain de SABAM Jongtheaterschrijfprijs op Theater aan Zee. In haar solo w a t e r w a s w a s s e r (2017) gaat ze op zoek naar een nieuwe manier van communiceren, waarbij haar grillige associaties en bewegingen een poëtische dialoog aangaan met de muziek van Alan Van Rompuy. Momenteel werken Alan en Dounia aan GALM (werktitel), een project dat tussen een concert en voorstelling in valt. Op dit moment schrijft Dounia de tekst voor Ophelia, een productie van Inne Goris ism LOD, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen & Het Paleis. Ook kreeg ze de vraag om opnieuw als speler in werk van Tibaldus en Simon D’Huyvetter te staan. Ze wordt ondersteund door wpZimmer.

Dounia Mahammed graduated from KASK drama in 2015. Her work bears witness to a special sensitivity to language, humor and visual thinking. As a writer and actress, Mahammed has a keen interest in social issues, philosophical reflections and the poetry of the everyday. Her work aims to tell something about man and being human, and skips between wonder and despair. In August 2016, she won the SABAM Jongtheaterschrijfprijs at TAZ with Salut Copain. In Salut Copain (2015), her graduation performance. In her solo w a t e r w a s w a s s e r (2017) she looks for a new way of communicating, in which her whimsical associations and movements enter into a poetic dialogue with the music of Alan Van Rompuy. Alan and Dounia are currently working on GALM (working title), a project in between a concert and a performance. Dounia is currently writing the text for Ophelia, a production by Inne Goris in collaboration with LOD, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen & Het Paleis. She was also asked to once again perform as a player in works by Tibaldus and Simon D'Huyvetter. She is supported by wpZimmer.
In 2018 studeerde Alan Van Rompuy met hoge onderscheiding af aan het Conservatorium van Antwerpen als Master In Arts, afstudeerrichting jazz piano, met het soloproject Azertyklavierwerke. Onder deze alias bracht hij twee albums, drie EPs, vier singles en een bootleg uit. Als toetsenist speelde Alan in popgroep Leonore en in het heden is hij sideman in uiteenlopende projecten als Bandler Ching, Kel Assouf, Teletext en Vieze Meisje.
In 2020 schreef hij de muziek voor de film-voorstelling Vier Sterren van theatergroep herman. In theater stond hij op de vloer als muzikant in de voorstelling w a t e r w a s w a s s e r van Dounia Mahammed en was muzikale coach bij Het Betreft Liefde van Tine Van Aarschot.
In 2020 werkt hij verder samen met Dounia Mahammed aan hun nieuwe project Gnaborretni – deze performance zal in maart 2021 in première gaan.
In 2018 Alan Van Rompuy graduated with high distinction from the Conservatory of Antwerp as a Master In Arts, specialization jazz piano, with the solo project Azertyklavierwerke. Under this alias he released two albums, three EPs, four singles and a bootleg. As a keyboardist Alan played in pop group Leonore and today he is a sideman in projects as diverse as Bandler Ching, Kel Assouf, Teletext and Dirty Girl.
In 2020 he wrote the music for the film performance Vier Sterren by theater group herman. In theater he stood on the floor as a musician in the performance w a t e r w a s w a s s e r by Dounia Mahammed and was musical coach with Het Betreft Liefde by Tine Van Aarschot. In 2020 he will continue to work with Dounia Mahammed on their new project Gnaborretni - this performance will premiere in March 2021.
