Sc(è)enes brings together three meanings of the title.

The first concerns “La scène” as a floor to perform on. In the second sense, a scene is part of a bigger whole. Finally, we read the word scene in English: a group of people with shared (aesthetic) preferences or ways of life.

With Sc(è)enes, Nein presents works that are too short, too small, too young, too slow, too visual or too performative, or all this combined in evening-long happenings in which all different disciplines are combined.

Sc(è)enes takes shape for a year as a monthly program that alternates between Kunsthal Gent and CAMPO and flies to other locations (TBC).

Sc(è)enes bundelt drie betekenissen van de titel.

In de eerste gaat het om de scène als speelvloer. In de tweede betekenis is een scène een deel van een voorstelling: een stuk(je) dat bekeken moet worden. Als laatste lezen we het woord scene in het Engels: een groep mensen met gedeelde (esthetische) voorkeuren of levenswijzen.

Met Sc(è)enes presenteert Nein werken die te kort, te klein, te jong, te traag, te beeldend of te performatief zijn of dit alles gecombineerd in avondvullende happenings waarbij alle verschillende disciplines gecombineerd worden.

Concreet krijgt Sc(è)enes een jaar lang vorm als maandelijks programma dat afwisselend neerstrijkt in Kunsthal Gent en CAMPO en uitvliegt naar andere locaties (TBC)
